ABOUT US

Next Up Boss is a FREE youth entrepreneurship program sponsored by The School Days Foundation that equips youth in grades 8 thru 12 with the skills and resources needed to Build, Own, Scale, and Succeed in their own businesses. We are committed to doing this critical work, particularly in underserved communities and populations, to revitalize their economies and equip youth and their parents with the tools needed to build and manage generational wealth. Next Up Boss also pays for the LLC registration fee for each of our students that completes our Build Accelerator and upholds our student bylaws.

Applications for the 2022 Cohort open on January 26th and close on March 1st. We're only selecting 25 students this round!

OUR PROGRAM

The Build Accelerator

Is a fifteen-week virtual program that provides a comprehensive foundation for budding youth entrepreneurs. Students will attend interactive virtual workshops, be paired with a success coach, and create their product or service. Upon completing the program, students that uphold our bylaws will be transitioned into the Own & Operate Launchpad.

The Own & Operate Launchpad

Lasts for four months and provides continual support to teens in their businesses' launch, maintenance, and growth. Participants will receive assistance with entity creation, startup funds, website creation, logo design, branding development, and marketing strategy during this phase.

The Scale & Succeed Alumni Program

Is the third and final phase of the Next Up Boss program. Graduates of each cohort will come together for a virtual business check-in once a month for up to two years after they've completed the Launchpad. Afterwhich, they will have access to their alumni network for a lifetime.

The Financial Empowerment Academy for Parents and Guardians

Is a six-week program and network designed to complement the wealth of knowledge and resources we introduce to their youth. As their youth's newest business partners, it is imperative that parents/guardians are equipped to let their students lead.

BECOME A MENTOR.

CHANGE A LIFE.

Research shows that quality mentoring relationships positively affect young people's personal, academic, and professional situations. Students who build relationships with caring, consistent adult mentors, are shown to set higher educational and vocational goals and have increased school attendance. Studies further show these students develop their interpersonal and emotional skills such as self-awareness and resilience and are more likely to graduate from high school and succeed in college.
